September Annual Maintenance
Water District No. 7 is performing a temporary conversion of its main disinfectant to the water supply (chlorine and ammonia, aka “chloramines”) to “free chlorine” during the month of September.  A biological film known as “biofilm” is found in all water pipes. Over time, biofilm becomes resistant to the chloramines it encounters regularly and as a result can cause water quality problems if it is not properly managed.  The system-wide process of flushing the water mains through fire hydrants combined with the disinfectant change is proven to be effective at controlling biofilm. The conversion lasts approximately four weeks

The process is safe and residents may continue to drink and use their water as normal. This is a common industry practice to help control water quality problems. There is no action needed by our customers, however, you may notice a slight chlorine taste and smell to the water during this four-week period.  This is normal and poses no health risk.

New Rates Effective June 1, 2017

Every year, the Board of Directors of Water District #7 reviews its rate structure.  Part of this review revealed that the District’s wholesale sources were increasing.  To offset these increases the Board of Directors authorized a 3.5% increase to the rate structure that will be reflected on the June 1st billing cycle.  Following is a table indicating the revised rate structure.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our offices!

Important Information: When creating your customer account through our web portal please make sure to link the correct water account with your personal web portal account. For example make sure you use the account number that is: “4 DIGITS-LETTER” i.e “0199-T”. Not all accounts have a ‘-LETTER’ but if your water account does (located in the lower left-hand corner of your postcard bill), please make sure to include it when creating your account.

Through the Web Portal you will now be able to view your current and past water use history, pay your bills online and also view your previous payments. Some other features include updating your contact information, sending in a Service Call to our office, and also transferring water service when moving.
