About Water District 7

Water District 7, Johnson County, Kansas is organized as a corporation under the laws of the state of Kansas.  The District is governed by a nine member Board of Directors, who are elected by the members (Benefit Unit holders) of the District.  The Board has regularly scheduled meetings to address any concerns, issues, or actions that are needed for the management & operation of the Water District

The Water District has over 250 miles of pipeline and serves a population of approximately 3,200 customers in service areas that are not only rural, but urban, residential, commercial and industrial in Johnson and Miami counties.

Since its inception in 1968, the Water District has maintained high standards for providing a safe water supply to its customers.  This goal remains as the Water District continues to grow and change.

In addition to the Benefit Unit Cost, a Road Crossing Fee will be implemented, (if applicable) dependent on the size of installation. Fees are: 5/8″ and 3/4″ size $2,200; 1″ size $2,500; 1 1/2″ and 2″ size $3,000. Additional charges may apply if the actual cost for the road crossing exceeds the deposit. 2-inch and smaller meters: District provides, installs and pays for all pipe and equipment through the meter, including meter pit. Property Owner pays for all materials and installation beyond the meter.
